On-Premise Wine Placement Data

Depletion and shipment data stops at the account door. It cannot tell you whether a wine actually made the list, in what format, at what price, or against which competitors on the page. That is the gap Vinoperte fills.

How the data is collected

Vinoperte is a consumer wine app. People photograph a wine list or a shop shelf and get a recommendation matched to their taste. So we see wine lists exactly as guests see them, in the venue, on the night, at the price printed on the page. Every scan becomes a structured record of what was listed and what it cost, and the picture refreshes continuously as people keep scanning. No panel, no survey, no reps.

What buyers can answer

  • Placement: which wines are listed, in which markets, in which formats.
  • By-the-glass penetration: where a wine is poured versus only stocked, by market and account type.
  • Price position: price against the rest of the page, by varietal, region and market.
  • Competitive set: which producers consistently appear alongside a given wine.
  • Whitespace: markets and account types where a competitive set is listed and a producer is not.
  • Movement: how any of the above has shifted quarter over quarter.

Coverage

102 countries, with the deepest density across Western and Northern Europe and the United States. Coverage compounds with the consumer base and gets denser every week.

Privacy

The licensed dataset contains menu and pricing information published by venues on their wine lists. It contains no consumer identifiers and no personal data of any kind.
